Expat In Mexico Starts Worldwide Movement w/ Katie Hornor
WHO IS IT?
Katie Hornor living as an expat in Mexico.
WHAT IS THEIR SIDE HUSTLE?
Katie is leading a worldwide movement among Spanish speaking home educators with her Spanish curriculum.
WHY SHOULD I LISTEN?
In this episode, I talk with Katie Hornor about how becoming an expat in Mexico led to her starting a worldwide movement to help Spanish speaking home educators with curriculum made specifically for them. In 2012, Katie and her husband turned this side hustle into their full-time business. Since launching the first curriculum, Katie has gone on to write more than 40 self-published books, which includes 3 Amazon best sellers.
They hustled every spare minute and have grown their businesses to full time, debt free while ministering and homeschooling their 5 children. They now run a local coffee shop in Campeche, Mexico when not on the road with their events or the Spanish Speaking homeschool community and their Lemonhass® homeschool curriculum.
Additionally, Katie hosts the semi-annual Blog Well Retreats (Mexico and USA), has been featured at Florida Parent Educator’s Association Annual Convention, and Blended Blogging Conference, among others. She has written for Huffington Post, and Homeschooling Today Magazine, and is a contributor at Social Media Examiner Blog, HomeschoolBlogging.com, and HomeschoolGiveaways.com.
