Why have you not started a podcast?
Is it because you don’t know the best podcast equipment to use?
Do you remember 10 years ago when blogging was just getting hot? The people that focused on this and consistently put out content are now rolling in $$$$$.
I feel like we are in the same exact time period now with podcasting – it is the PERFECT time to get started. Although there seems to be a lot of podcasters, it’s really just an illusion. There are sooo many more listeners than there are podcasters and the number of people that don’t know about podcasting yet is staggering. In fact, I was getting my haircut 2 weeks ago and my barber had never heard of a podcast and he is a 38-year-old man. There is still SO MUCH OPPORTUNITY HERE!
Listenership will continue to rise and there are plenty of niches that have not yet been claimed.
Will you be putting your stake in the ground?
Here is everything you will need to launch your first podcast for less than $150.
Equipment
Mic: I use Audio-Technica ATR2100 USB Microphone (I use this for my online interviews)
In-person Recorder: Zoom H4N Pro Bundle Pack
In-person Mic: Movo Omnidirectional mics (make sure you buy omnidirectional)
For my mic stand at my desk, I use this boom arm.
You don’t want Plosives, so get a screen. I use this one.
To reduce any vibrations from the desk I use this stabilizer.
Software
Zoom (I use this for recording online interviews)
Adobe Audition (editing software that I use)
Adobe Illustrator for editing my podcast graphics (and all my other graphics)
